Middle School Students and The Mosaic Project
In August 2011, each School District of Lancaster and Pequea Valley School District middle school art department awarded five students full scholarships to a take a Mosaic Project-themed art class in the continuing education department at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design.
Middle school students who participated in the Mosaic Project also had the opprotunity to meet artists Raul Colón and Amy Sherald on October 8, explored the exhibit and talked to Raul and Amy about how they create their artwork, what the paintings and illustrations mean, and heard real-life stories from Amy and Raul about life as a professional artist.
