The 2012 Mosaic Project exhibition opened on October 5 and continued through November 23. 


Friday, October 5

 

9:15 a.m.: Hurtado Segovia meets 20 high school students (from School District of Lancaster and Pequea Valley School District) in the Main Gallery to discuss the life of an artist.

 

10 a.m.: Artist talk open to the public; the Mosaic Project high school students attend, as well.

 

11:30 a.m.: Lunch with high school students

 

12:30 - 1:45 p.m.: Drawing Workshop with high school students.

 

5 - 9 p.m.: Opening reception for "The Mosaic Project: Lorenzo Hurtado Segovia and R. Gregory Christie."

 

Saturday, October 6

 

10:30 a.m. - noon: Hurtado Segovia worked with youth in a studio class comprised of 20 middle school students (from School District of Lancaster and Pequea Valley School District) who were awarded Mosaic Project scholarships for the class.

 

Friday, November 2

R. Gregory Christie, Mosaic Project artist, at PCA&D.

 

Throughout the day:  Christie worked with PCA&D's illustration students during this in-class workshop.

 

4 p.m.: Artist talk  by R. Gregory Christie; open to the public.

 

5 p.m.: Book signing by Christie. Christie is a three time Coretta Scott King Honor Award winner for his children’s book illustrations.

 

5 - 9 p.m.: Public reception for "The Mosaic Project: Lorenzo Hurtado Segovia and R. Gregory Christie"

 

Saturday, November 3
