Beginning in Fall 2014, students who want to pursue careers in interactive media can enroll in PCA&D's new Digital Media major.
Digital media and interactive entertainment are the most pervasive and popular modes of connection, influence, and communication in today’s world. Adhering to PCA&D's 30-year tradition of preparing its students for lives in art and design, we're responding to current and future trends by offering this new field of study.
Students who will major in digital media will receive introductory and advanced training in this integrative and ever-evolving technology-driven field.
Careers that Digital Media majors can expect to enter include animator (2-D and 3-D), special effects artist for film and television, and interface designer (think touch screens on kiosks, mobile devices, and more).
