PCA&D has awarded honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degrees (honoris causa) to the following people in recognition of their lifetime achievement, leadership, and/or dedication to and support of the arts.
   

2010: John  A.  Fry (former president of Franklin & Marshall College)

          Jerry Pinkney (2010 Caldecott Medal winner and guest artist during the 2010 Mosaic Project)

2009: Caroline Nunan (Mrs. Nunan passed away in 2010, but was a well-known philanthropist, former director at Lancaster Newspapers, Inc. and Steinman Enterprises, and former chairman of the James Hale Steinman Foundation).

2008: Susanna Coffey

2007: Rebecca Hoffberger 

2006: William Plympton

PCA&D, founded in 1982, is central PA’s only non-profit, professional art college.  PCA&D offers bachelor of fine arts degrees in graphic design, illustration, fine art, and photography, and certificate programs in digital photography, print design, and Web design. 

PCA&D also offers continuing education classes year-round for adults, teens, and youth, and a professional gallery that features works by nationally-acclaimed artists.
