The 24-hour Designathon at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design is one example of how the Lancaster, Pa.-based college provides valuable community services for area non-profits and the community-at-large.  Design projects range from logo design to wearable art, Web sites to brochures.  All artworks are created from concept to finish in 24 hours by PCA&D design majors.

Begins at 6 p.m. Feb. 24 and concludes at 6 p.m. Feb. 25 with a 30-minute client presentation of the final products created.

Designathon provides an opportunity for non-profit organizations to receive professional-quality design services at no charge.  PCA&D's students learn that non-profits have very real marketing needs in order to be successful, and strong graphic design in well-organized collateral pieces are vital components of any successful communications and marketing plans.
