Pennsylvania College of Art & Design offers pre-college classes for high
school students looking for additional studio experiences. These classes
encourage the artistic focus, thinking and work habits expected of college-level
art majors. They are an ideal way for students to develop a portfolio
or add work to an existing one.
While courses vary from session to session, some offerings include Portfolio
Preparation, Animation, Studio Drawing, Photography, Figure Drawing, Painting,
Sequential Comic Book Art, and Mixed Media.

Mature
high school students, with parental consent, are also eligible to participate
in all adult
courses.
Supplies
Art supplies needed for each course are to be provided by the student.
Supplies vary greatly for each course and instructor. Students will be
informed of any materials needed for the first class meeting. During the
course the instructor will explain any additional materials that are necessary.
HOW TO REGISTER
Mail Complete the registration
form. Print it out, fill it in, sign it and mail with check,
money order (payable to Pennsylvania College of Art & Design), or credit
card information to:

Walk-In Come to Pennsylvania College of Art & Design and
drop off your completed registration form. We will be happy to answer
your questions in person. Office hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30
p.m.
All registrations and payments must be received no later than the first
day of class. Enrollment is limited in many courses and registrations
are accepted on a first-come basis. If you want to enroll in a class during
the week just prior to its start date, please call us first to be sure
we are still able to accept your registration.
Registering for any course at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design creates
a short-term contract between the student and the college. Please read
all registration information carefully, particularly the section on course
costs and refunds. Completing a registration and paying for a course implies
your understanding of and a willingness to comply with the college's schedule
of costs and terms for course cancellations, student withdrawals, and
refunds. Please do not hesitate to call the college at 717-396-7833 if
you have any questions or need a breakdown of the fees included in the
course cost.
Course Cancellations/Instructor
Substitutions
Each course or workshop carries a minimum enrollment requirement. Pennsylvania
College of Art & Design reserves the right to cancel any course or workshop
for insufficient enrollment and to substitute instructors when necessary.
If we must cancel a course or workshop, all registered students will receive
notice by letter or telephone at least one week prior to the start date
of the course. All payments, including all fees, will be fully refunded.
Refunds for Pre-College
Courses
All refund requests must be made in writing. Only tuition is refundable.
All fees are non-refundable. Included in the cost of all courses is a $25 registration fee. Refunds will be made within 30 business days
of receipt of a written request. The refund amount is based on the postmarked
date of written withdrawal from the course.
Prior to the start of the Pre-College courses: 100% refund of paid
tuition (not applicable fees). Request must be received in writing three
business days prior to the start of the course.
No refunds after the first class meeting.
If Pennsylvania
College of Art & Design cancels a course or workshop, all paid participants
will receive a 100% refund of all paid tuition and fees.
Other Notes:
All students will receive a letter confirming a completed registration.
Please take note of all information in your confirmation letter.
Parental/guardian approval by signature is required for all students under
18 years of age.
In addition to these courses, Pennsylvania College of Art & Design offers
a Bachelor of Fine Arts
(BFA) degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Illustration, and Photography
and Certificate Programs in Home Interiors, Mural Painting, Print Design and Web Design.
