Help
with housing
Pennsylvania
College of Art & Design offers an off-campus housing referral service,
providing housing and roommate listings to foundation, transfer, and returning
students for their convenience. Representatives from the college's Admissions
Office collect data on available housing in the area and prepare periodic
housing lists. The college also provides services to help students find
compatible roommates. Utilizing a roommate questionnaire (which identifies
a person's likes/dislikes, living, studying, and social styles/habits,
etc.), the admissions staff can provide students with profiles of potential,
compatible roommates. The college also hosts events (Roommate Meet &
Greet), which offer opportunities for students who are looking for roommates
to get acquainted in a comfortable and social atmosphere. In addition,
the Admissions Office provides a housing guide for students who utilize
the housing referral service, which offers a wealth of information for
first time renters on leasing, inspections, security deposits, tenant/landlord
rights and responsibilities.
Living off-campus is an exciting prospect for many students. Learning
to manage living on your own is a maturing experience and helps to prepare
students for life after graduation. At Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, students get a head
start, making them better prepared to begin their professional life.
